COVID-19 TEST REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER BRAZIL

Brazil makes the entry of international tourists more flexible

Through an administrative decision, as of October 5, 2021, it is possible to enter the country also by presenting an antigen test 24 hours in advance. Travelers must also present the Traveler's Health Declaration (DSV), a declaration expressing agreement with Covid-19 prevention measures, which the passenger must follow while in the country.

Starting October 5, 2021, Brazilians and foreigners traveling to Brazil by air must present to the airline, before boarding:

I – Document accrediting the RT-PCR laboratory test for capillary infection with SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, with a negative or non-reactive result, carried out 72 hours before boarding, or antigen examination with a negative result within 24 hours. antencence observing the following criteria:

  1. The document must be presented in Portuguese, Spanish or English;
  2. The test must be performed in a laboratory recognized by the health authority of the country of shipment;
  3.  hypothesis of a flight with a connection or stopover in which the traveler remains in the restricted area of the airport, that is, a period of seventy-two hours will be considered in relation to boarding in the first leg of the trip;
  4. or the traveler who migrates for more than seventy-two hours after the RT-PCR test must present a document that certifies the completion of the new test with a negative or non-reactive result for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, without check- in to or departure from the Federative Republic of Brazil;
  5. Minors under 12 years of age traveling accompanied must not present a document proving the completion of the RT-PCR laboratory test, or antigen, as long as all accompanying persons present documents proving the completion of the laboratory test as a result of the negative reagent of the RT-PCR test for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus was performed seventy-two hours before departure or antigen with 24 hours;
  6. Children aged two or over and under twelve years of age who travel unaccompanied must present a document proving the completion of an RT-PCR laboratory test with a negative or non-reactive result for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, carried out in seventy years two hours before departure or antigen 24 hours in advance; and
  7. Children under two years of age are exempt from presenting a document proving the completion of the RT-PCR laboratory test to travel to the Federative Republic of Brazil.

II – Form, printed or digital, for completing the Traveler's Health Declaration – DSV in the seventy-two hours prior to departure to the Federative Republic of Brazil with the agreement of the health measures that must be complied with during the period that will be in Brazil.
